2019 Acura MDX Has Many Luxury And Performance Upgrades

 

The 2019 Acura MDX has an excellent combination of luxury and performance upgrades that’s made this all-time best-selling, three-row, luxury SUV, even better. Plus, Acura has introduced the first A-Spec variant of this popular SUV. The Japanese automaker has also added an available Active Damper System, wider wheels and tire options for the 2019 MDX all designed to improve the vehicle’s dynamic experience. They include making authentic, stylish, Desert Olive Ash wood trim and high-contrast stitching on the seats and door panels as well as contrasting garnishes on the side of the front seat as an available option. Plus, there’s now 4-way power lumbar adjustments on the seats of the driver and front passenger. The second-row seat configuration of the Entertainment and Technology packages have been updated to make getting to the third row easier. The Advance Package offers a center console with trim-exclusive matching wood and the 2019 MDX’s color palette now offers 9 options including the A-Spec-exclusive Apex Blue and body-color lower garnishes.

The all-new A-Spec variant of the 2019 Acura MDX has a new, more aggressive front fascia, a more athletic stance, Shark Grey 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels, low profile tires, body-color lower sills and large-diameter exhaust finishers. It’s exclusively available with the torque-vectoring Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive from Acura. The interior has sport pedals, unique A-Spec gauges, sport seats with red or black leather trim with high-contrast stitching, gloss-black trim, Alcantara door inserts, thick-rimmed steering wheel with paddle shifters and A-Spec badge and an A-Spec door step garnish.

Powered by a responsive 3.5-liter, direct-injected i-VTEC 24-valve, 290 horsepower V6 engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission that delivers 267 pound-feet of torque, the 2019 Acura MDX is available in standard front-wheel drive or a SH-AWD system. The vehicle has Acura’s Active Damper System formally only available on Acura’s MDX Sport Hybrid as standard equipment. This improves traction, sharpens steering, enhances acceleration, handling response and ride comfort and expands the driver-selectable Integrated Dynamic System that expands the MDX’s dynamic range.

All the trims of the 2019 Acura MDX come with the advanced AcuraWatch active and passive safety and driver-assistive technologies. They include air bags, pre-tensioning seatbelts, Forward Collision Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control featuring Low-Speed Follow, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning and Road Departure Mitigation.
